ABOUT

The "Sounding Identity" series aims to foster interdisciplinary conversations about gender, race, and identity on the UNR campus and in the local community through a consideration of sound. Two major components of the series work in conjunction to showcase intellectual currents on campus, provide for an ongoing collective conversation, and introduce new ideas. The first piece of the series is a monthly meeting with a mutable format that includes readings, workshops, and performances. The other component brings speakers to campus for a formal, public lecture as well as less formal meetings and conversations with students.
